Jitters

As the weekend approaches I find myself slightly unprepared and a little scattered. The week seemed to have been creeping by now all of the sudden we have a massive four day weekend planned...without Prince.

He has to work and sometimes this whole 24/7 thing wears on me...sometimes, ha! I'll give my kids credit, they're pretty sweet,  it's just when I want them to be sweet, like around people who doubt me, they prove me wrong.

I have jitters because I am doing a family photo shoot this weekend and I get anxious. I have a thousand ideas bouncing around and I picked up an adorable light blue antique wooden chair for the kids to use (ten bucks on craigslist!). It's like a singer taking the stage or speaker about to present a topic I get literally sick until I take the first few photos. It's easy to photograph kids, I am secretly the kid whisperer and they always seem to fall into place or do the most adorable random things with out even being asked. Adults, however are harder to manuver and instead of just having fun or doing what they normally do with their children they are subconsiously wondering if their butt looks big or if I am doing it right. I know this because I used to be that way when I had my photo taken, then I let go and my photos had never turned out better. Trust your photographer, if they're good they'll take you at your best angle or do creative things that you absoluetly love... just let them (me).

I also am attempting my first ever engagement session this weekend up by my old hometown. They're a beautiful couple and I am excited and again nervous.

My ultimate photography challenge will hopefully someday being able to take great pictures of my parents without my Mom dictating the shoot, I actually dream about the locations and the angles. I am not sure why this dream is signifacnt but I sense an urgency... so here's hoping it't nothing major and that I can take some great memories for them soon!
